That made sense; the pressure of both the military's and the police's failures fell upon their leaders, more often than not. He had been hoping for some insight into Hoenn's many issues from an officer's perspectives, and technically, he got it.

"Ah, yeah." He said; he wasn't dressed in anything that would immediately suggest it, but he had grown used to being a public character by now.

"Guess I gotta say the same. I haven't really been sent to dealt with anyone truly important so far." He admitted, shrugging his shoulders.

Couple of operations and a relatively recent excursion, but everything had been relatively peaceful for Camp Winstrate so far. Rockets were careful to not get caught up or found out more often than not.

"Nah." He said bluntly, leaning forward, resting his chin atop his palm lazily. "It ain't really my thing. But someone's gotta do it."

If it were up to him, he would've been doing something like his mother or grandpa; teaching or playing music. But reality was often disappointing, and he would have remained restless his entire life if he had stayed on the sidelines and not tried doing anything about Rocket.

Even if he still couldn't stomach the thought of killing.

"Whatever indeed." He said with a bark of laughter, remembering how happy he had been when he got his first paycheck, despite it coming at the expense of 6 years of his life and an obligation to kill on command.

Hunger could do things to a young man. It was unfortunate, but Doug had no parents to ward off said hunger any longer. It was all up to him.

"Yeah..." He said as he stood up, stretching his neck for a moment before holding his hand out to the man. "Here's to a good match, Mr. Flynn."

One of his favorite pokemon, the little fiery bugger. He wondered how far along his long, long evolutionary process the little guy was.

"Right back at'cha, Flynn." The youth said with a grin, reaching up to tip his hat at the man.

The shuckle makes no effort to dodge the pokemon's string, it hitting him in the face and shell. He squints some of it falls over his eye, before harrumphing, shaking his head furiously to get it off him before moving to stand, ripping the webbing.

He was a contrarian at heart. You wanted him to go slow? JUST TRY AND STOP HIM.

The pokemon promptly dropped its fat butt right back on the soil, tremors spreading outwards as its shell cracked the rocks, the soil upheaving violently as the shockwave spread outwards!

"Jeez, the lungs on that boy!" The youth groaned.

Gamera, however, stood tall and stone faced as the youth screeched at him. Did it expect him to flinch and cower? NEVER. HE WOULD STAND TALL LIKE A TRUE MON.

The Shuckle reeled back before spitting out a large ball of sticky gunk at the Larvesta, it suddenly unfurling to reveal a large webbing!
